Analytic-Existential talk therapy
Now serving the EA and rationalist communities
What I Do
Hi there, and welcome. I'm a therapist located in the greater New York area, specializing in helping clients orient towards meaning in their lives, in particular around anxiety and depression.
I also have experience helping process past trauma, and some other areas of competence include attachment style, boundary work, sense of agency and locus of control. All of the problems that underpin these patterns of experience can be understood as signposts; error signals from our internal environment that suggest paths forward.
I am comfortable working with human systems at any level: in family therapy, dyadic therapy (e.g. parent-child or couples counseling) or within individuals (i.e. Internal Family Systems).
Work with Philosophy
I've held an interest in philosophy from a young age. In 2021, during the COVID pandemic, I was introduced to the Rationality community, and from there connected with the Effective Altruist scene by Damon Sasi, a Marriage & Family Counselor and friend.
I look forward to serving the international EA community with an approach that engages both with ideas and the feelings that underpin them.
Education & Training
As of 2022, I've accumulated over a decade's time spent in an active role assisting in the facilitation of young men's and boys' therapy groups at Grand Street Psychology under the direction of Dr. Bob Milich, PhD. In the same year, I completed a Masters degree at The City College of New York (CUNY) in Mental Health Counseling.
Having been raised in a bicultural household myself, and having been involved with a range of different ideological spaces, I'm eager to continue work with a diverse variety of cultural and lifestyle backgrounds.
